Skimboarding Tracks
What Is Skimboarding?
Great fun combined with a water sport for surfing and adrenaline enthusiasts. This absolute novelty on the outdoor attraction market is gaining more and more fans every year. The product is intended for anyone whose coordination allows for a run-up and jump onto a wooden board, after which they glide across the water surface. The designed track of a specific length is lined with material that keeps the water level contained in a defined area, allowing for long and precise slides. More advanced users can perform tricks while riding, similar to those done on classic skateboards.
The professional skimboarding track is produced in various dimensions depending on the needs and intended outdoor use. It works great for family and small events (up to 15 m), as well as the main attraction at camps, sports events, or corporate events (up to 25 m).
It is also worth mentioning that skimboarding is practiced by professionals: 62-year-old Australian Ron Aggs set a national record by riding a skimboard for a distance of 50 meters.
Skimboarding tracks offered by Gangaru (formerly GunGan) are made of airtight fabric used, among others, in the production of rescue rafts. This material is resistant to tears and abrasions. Its high abrasion resistance and the PVC material’s weight guarantee excellent fun, safety, and durability for many seasons.
An unquestionable advantage of the skimboarding track is its mobility and the ability to place it on almost any surface while maintaining safety around the attraction. It is recommended to create a protective zone for users with additional areas made of foam padding. We also advise that users wear protective helmets while using the skimboarding track. The track works best on flat, soft surfaces such as lawns, sandy shores reinforced with compacted backfill, or compacted soil that is not gravelly.
